Creative Arts Therapy

Creative Arts Therapy is a form of psychotherapy that combines the creative process with mindfulness and talk-based approaches.
It supports emotional, mental, and physical wellbeing by offering safe pathways to explore feelings, experiences, and build self-awareness through both body and mind.
This approach can be especially helpful for those who find it difficult to express themselves with words alone, including children.
Sessions are client centred and tailored to individual needs.

Creative art therapy supports a strength based approach, making therapy engaging and empowering.

Tarquin completed her Postgraduate Diploma in Creative Arts Therapy in 2024 and the first year of her Clinical Master’s in 2025. She is currently gaining practical experience in primary and secondary schools, as well as at the Mangere Refugee Centre, facilitating 1:1 sessions and small therapeutic groups. Her arts-based research explores sleep dysregulation using poetic inquiry and creative methodology
Tarquin will complete her Clinical Master’s at the end of 2026 and will be available for private clinical bookings once fully registered.

Our 8 year old daughter absolutely loves going to Tarquin for her weekly art classes. It's become a safe space for her,  where she can be her creative self, and enjoy her passion for art. We are grateful for

such a gem in our local community.
